Edinburgh 60th Celebrations
"We should get the JET SET all together to celebrate our 60th Birthday Year!" PLANTING THE SEED The seed was planted by three Scottish school pals many months before, at one of their regular meetups in Glasgow. The invitation then extended to the other two members of the Larkhall Academy Jet Set, who had defected "down south" 40 years earlier. Invitation accepted, all that remained to be decided was Where and When? The Matriarch had already had her milestone birthday in mid October 2018, but the Baby's was not until 18 months later, in February 2020. So a date, kind of midway, September 2019, was put in the diaries with the venue TBC. WHERE? It was left in the hands of the Scottish contingent to choose a destination, and after various ideas, Edinburgh was chosen.
